i love a good street style blog. i used to be a fan of lookbook until it was full of people who had clearly spent hours crafting their outfit and then another few hours photo shopping their images into trendy perfection.
coggles (which is an awesome online store i stumbled across through the asos website of all places) has their own street style blog. it’s refreshingly raw and understated. and yet apparently the uk’s largest street style blog.
my aim is to be one of these people. keep an eye out for me on the blog.

you’ve seen it a million times before - brands that do the photography comp thing. but the entries in ray ban’s photography awards actually have skills. so much so i couldnt pick two of my favs. so i made it eight.

loving topshop’s tumblr.
tumblr is a great medium for brands to connect online and the brilliant part about this one, is that topshop are not just focusing on their own products. they’re photographing interesting fashion and people in london (at london fashion week at the moment) to inspire their followers and ultimately drive them to topshop for the latest trends.

i thought i was doing relatively ok with my career until i stumbled across nirrimi hakanson. a photographer from queensland, she starting shooting when she was 13. by 18 she’s already been commissioned to work on campaigns for brands such as diesel, billabong and commbank.
her work is ah-mazing - beautifully composed and a little bit vintage.

diesel island.
diesel have launched a new website with the concept of what the diesel island would look like if it ever existed, (i.e. a lot of hunky people in nice clothes). an interesting way to showcase the season range, and good use of navigation in the website to flick between lines of clothing.
